Government Grants Are Back! |
1. The very first step is to register online here; http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/residential/personal/retrofit/16462 or by calling; 1-800-622-6232. (You can also call us at (705) 721-HEAT (4328) & one of our customer service personnel will be more than happy to help you with any questions regarding these steps or even help you along with the process) 2. The second step is to have a home energy audit completed in your home. What is a home energy audit? Well, it is an assessment to see how much energy your home is currently consuming. The Auditor will advise you on changes that can be done to improve these conditions & how much money you will get back for each improvement. 3. The third step is to address the changes that are to be done. For example, if you need to upgrade your furnace then you will look for one that is more efficient than the one you currently have that will save you money in the years to come and be more reliable, have better warranties and in some cases be much safer for everyone living in the home. *Licenced Energy Auditors- Ardent heating also has contacts for good auditors that we will be more than willing to pass onto you if you don’t have one already and need one that is reputable. * Please note that we provide free no-obligation consultations and estimates. One thing I do know for sure is that you can always trust Ardent to delivery fast and reliable & friendly service. If you would like, we can send one of our comfort advisors to assess your current situation and advise you on the proper furnace for you and your family. 4. Finally step four is done after the new furnace is installed into your home. You will need to have the Auditor come back for a brief visit so that they can record that the changes have been made to your home, and that the proper rebates will be given out. You can receive up to $5000.00 in government grants for; heating and cooling systems, ventilation systems, domestic hot water equipment, insulation, air sealing, and water conservation, but the deadline for this is March 31st 2012.
